Problems with a null value in PHP and HTML?

I am doing a project, in which I have an HTML page, and the user types in a name and an age (can insert up to 10) and I wish to display the values where the variable "age1" "age2" ect to "age10" are not null.
I currently have the following but the variable seems not to be set to null, even if i leave the age box blank (in the HTML page) which makes me wonder what is doing this.

if ($age1 != null)
the idea behind this line is as follows, in plain english;
If age1 (the age variable) is not equal to null (if it is anything other than a null)
and then i have it say
Print true.
However, it prints true no matter whether I leave the box blank or not.

In the HTML page, the box is inserted with the following code;
<input type = "text" name = "Age1" size = "8" />

and on the php page I have the following code;
$age1 = $_POST['Age1'];

Is there something I have done wrong that may lead to the age1 variable being anything other than a null?

Best way to air out my tobacco?

Well, I've just bought four types of pipe tobacco. I'm fairly new to this, so I figured I would try several types to find that special blend. Also to have many different flavors for different occasions, seasons, meals, etc. I have Ambrosia, Black Cherry, Mardi Gras, and the house blend called Jerry's Choice. Jerry owns the tobacco store. Anyway, on the the point.
I've been able to find a technique for lighting and smoking that keeps the bowl relatively lit. However, I still have trouble with different tobaccos staying lit without having to puff constantly and the ruin the flavor. Some one suggested drying out the more moist blends. I'm open to all suggestions since I don't know that much yet. What is the best way to dry out my blends without letting the flavor escape too much? Is there a certain amount of time? How I should lay the blend out? And I guess most importantly, what is the shelf life of dried tobacco vs. fresh?
Also, I have a rather simple but odd question. Should I store my tobacco like Jerry does? He has air tight containers. Now obviously I don't have that much tobacco, nor do I plan to have that much. As of right now, I store it in really good ziploc bags, In an air tight box along with my cigars and humidor device. It's a decent box that has all of my pipe cleaners and tools, my cigars, lighters, etc. It's perfect for this.

I put this in this section because, like me, some people smoke good cigars with good liquor. And there isn't a smoking section here.
I was thinking that would be more sensible. I didn't try it tonight because I had a new blend I was trying out. it smoked pretty well. I'm getting better at lighting and smoking. I can hold the bowl away for more than 15 secs and still be able to puff lightly a couple times and get a good draw full of flavor.

I want to report my mother to social services for child abuse for saying untrue things about me. look me and my brother got into a food fight we threw ketchup around in McDonalds(he started it).my mom was going to buy us a game. my bro wanted something different.i got mad and threw ketchup and it got on some people’s clothes and this ladies purse my mom had to pay 150 bucks for the clothes i ruined. .The manager came to the table yelled at us. when my mom came out of the bathroom. she saw what we did she wigged out on us and diss us in there called us a babies real loud told me and him we need go back to wearing diapers again and sit in a high chair. can I bring her up on charges for saying that to me telling me i need to be in diapers again? even just to scare her. Its just no fair why is mothers so mean It has to be a girl thing with her. she took away my x box and i pod i cant go out on the weekends now because of her. look I know im 16 years my bro is 13 years old but i have more legal rights then my mother on this im sure of it. Even the charges dont stick it would make her treat me better in the future by not calling me a baby right?

ok, i have been looking around at subs, amps and speakers for my car, i think i understand it for the most part but i just want to make sure. i have a few questions so that i can get things straight in my head. 1) does the amount of watts have to match up with the max watt output of the subwoofers, or can it be a little bit smaller, or higher, if so for each case, what would be the outcome. 2) do the normal car speakers connect to the amp or just the car battery, if it does connect to the amp, does it have to have a higher watt output to support the speakers? 3) finnaly what is a good brand to buy a pair of 12" subs and 4 car speakers from, a good amp company, and a good company to buy the subwoofer box from (if there even is such a company)

This is my first year of keeping chickens.Despite a large hen house, with nesting boxes, they all like to lay on the same nest. They are in an enclosure during the morning and free range in the afternoon. About 10 days ago,"Molly" went broody and stayed on the nest all day and night, and the others vertually stopped laying. I offered her food and water in situ, but she didnt take it so after a week I got worried and when I fed them in the morning, I turfed her off and removed the eggs. She protested, but tucked eagerly into food and did the hugest poo ever, so had obviously been holding on. She then returned to the nest. Since I dont have a cockerel, I felt this routine was in her best interest. However, this evening, when all the others went to bed at 7.30pm, Molly had disappeared. I searched the garden and all the woods around us but cant find her. Do you think a fox may have come into the hen house during the day and taken her, or do you think she has nested somewhere outdoors.

Is my baby too big for a infant float?

My 8 month old daughter is 23 pounds and in the 95 percentile on weight and height. I got her an infant float two months ago, the type that is all inflatable plastic, but never had the chance to use it. My dad has a small pool at his house and we were thinking about letting her use it when we visit there but I don't know if she is too heavy for it. There is no weight limit posted on the box and there was no booklet inside. I got it at walgreens for 10 bucks. Anyone have any ideas on what the usual limit is?

This is not a problem with the router itself , rather a pricing issue , let me explain. It's a little long but I need opinions/advice.

Earlier today I went to PC World shop looking for a Cat5 ethernet cable for my student accommodation apartment , the only cable they had in the store was Cat6 and on the box it says that it's 5 times as powerful as a Cat5 , so I was waiting for an employee to be free so I could ask them whether it would be OK to use in the apartment (The Student accommodation said I required a Cat5 cable so I wasn't sure about Cat6)....

Anyway , I got tired of waiting and called a guy I know who knew about these things and he told me he had a Cat5 cable spare at home he'd sell he for 10euro less , so I said that's grand and he said he'd come over later to see if the cable is ok for it...

He came over to the apartment later and the Cat5 cable was ok but he had brought over a a "spare" wireless broadband router he said I could buy instead if I preferred wireless. I much preferred a wireless router because I hate cables anyway he said he bought it in March for €120 , and that he would sell it to me for €80 now , so I believed him and said Ok and I bought it and it worked and everything was grand.

20 minutes after he left the apartment I looked up the product on the Internet and on 4 separate websites the average price for it was €30 to €35.

That's the exact router I bought and in this one on PC World , the same store my friend said he bought it from for €120 , it costs about £32.

My main question is , has this product EVER cost anywhere near €120 , preferably around March , or has he screwed me over for €80???

I called him and told him I'd seen the same thing on different websites for about 30 euro and he said he didn't rip me off and that he swore on his dead Mothers grave he got it for €120 in PC World , I'm asking is that even possible or is he just lying through his arse to cover for himself?

I've known him for 3 years in College so yes I admit I was gullible enough to trust him before checking the price.

How do you go about reporting a post office?

I've been on the post office website and government website, and they don't address the problem. Is there anyone who works for the post office who can point me in the right direction.

The post office in question is in State College, Pa. One Christmas, a package for my wife was opened, the jewelry removed, the package was resealed and sent to us. It was obvious the box had been tampered with...it was a mess.

Then one time I received a shipment of greeting cards from State College. They were off-color (not my taste) and the box had been opened and sloppily resealed. One package sent to me I never received at all.

Many letters have not made it through in both directions. At first I just thought it was they were not coming to me, but now it appears that some of mine never made it through. I was just told again that a letter never made it to the party concerned.

I don't want to report it to that post office for obvious reasons. Reporting it to the Postmaster General in Washington seems a little over-the-top.

Please don't put links to the post office or government websites. I need a specific answer from someone who works in the system.

WRG That link is for reporting individuals or fraudulent companies. Far as I can see, it's assuming the post offices are the "good guys."
There's a big problem because there is no way to prove that a letter was sent from either parties.

Can the pros please explain how is a film set created in an animated film made with maya or max? For example for interior scenes is the set all made inside a large box with one or more of the side walls removed to allow the camera to film? How does one start designing a set, does he/she start by creating a box? I would imagine the set is made in a box because all the objects such as furniture etc. can be placed in the box and the top of the box can be used as ceiling etc.

In terms of lighting and windows, is a light source positioned just outside the window to shine inside the room in the set?

Now final question, with exterior sets or exterior scenes, is the same 'box' method used? For example someone walking along a large street in his or her neighbourhood, that will be one long box and therefore a long set. How is the sky modelled? Do you remove the top of the 'box' and use a sky effect?

At the age of twenty four, Edith found love, settling down away from her family, at the age of twenty four. She and her husband, Herb, moved into an old cabin in a remote corner of California's wine country, 45 minutes North of San Francisco. She and her husband soon became a happy little family of 3, bringing Evelyn into the world. Their happiness proved to be short-lived, as Herb received a fatal diagnosis, in his early 30’s. Though he fought nobly, the disease won. He passed away during surgery, as Edith and Evelyn waited in the sitting area just down the hall. After only 7 years of marriage, Edith found herself a grieving widow with a small, 6 year old child. The mother and daughter lived privately, and made it through the years without their husband/father, living off Herb’s inherited stock from the wine industry.

Evelyn felt that losing her father due to illness was an unfair disadvantage to her life, and through the years, at a young age, It left an empty, scarred, angry hole in her heart. One that shaped her character from early on.

As Evelyn got older, she spent all of her time alone. She felt no remorse in neglecting her studies or when she stopped playing with the other children in the neighborhood. The only time she would leave her home was when she traveled down to the oceanside by bicycle. She was still a normal girl, just a quiet, introverted one. No one suspected anything, it was just thought to be Evelyn's way of coping. In her early teenage years, her mother discovered she was experimenting in local witchcraft. Soon, her isolation was coupled with pentagrams and spiritual studies.

By the time Edith was 37, she was diagnosed with Heliophobia and Agoraphobia. Because of her phobias, she eventually moved to the upstairs attic, covering every single window with cloth, blocking natural sunlight light from entering her darkened room. Afraid to live life, her disease and obsessive compulsive disorders only complicated matters worse. Some of her symptoms included wanting nothing to do with people, and avoided being outdoors at all measures. She was not even mentally capable of checking mail from her own box at the end of the driveway. The only person who ever came to visit their cabin in the woods was a local doctor, who would check up on them from time to time.

By the time Edith was in her late 80’s, her daughter Evelyn, who was in her 50’s, was beginning to show signs of a deteriorating mind. Neighbors stated that her depression had worsened, and her vision of reality had become faltered. It was said that she would play games with her mother’s mind, locking her in the attic, and tormenting her relentlessly because she believed that demons were living inside of her mothers body. Edith had a hard time accepting her own reality, because she had done everything possible to help raise her daughter the best she could. She believed that her daughter’s problems were from a combination of lifelong witchcraft, along with potential hereditary disorders. Edith was sane, but her phobias made her thoughts irrational at times, which made her daughter think that she was crazy.

Evelyn’s chemical disorders were all far more than the neighboring families wanted to accept. The home was no longer being cosmetically maintained, having problems of leaking roof tops, broken windows, overgrown vines flowing across the entire home and landscaping, that would begin to spread on to the neighboring properties. She suffered daily with panic and anxiety, but was already accustomed to this way of life.

When i turned on my laptop i had no internet connection but day before that everything was okay.
When i have gone into browse an connection or something like that there was no my modem-router name which should be Livebox - E202 it has changed into 1.... and when i try to go to the settings page which is (192.168.1.1) it says "An internal error has occured. Please reboot your livebox." when i reboot my live box it does not work :((( i was wandering if some 1 has hacked (connected) to my network

My wife nags at me all the time. 'Do this--do that. Blah blah, bytch bytch.' Always nagging at me. Everytime I go out with my bro's she's like 'be home by 10.' During the week she gives me this stupid list of stuff to do around the house. I mean, she has two hands, why the hell can't she do any of this crap? 'Do the dishes, take the kids to school.' Constantly without fail--always on my back.

Well she went to visit her sister in San Fransisco over Labor day and she took the kids so I was a free man. She gave me this list with all this crap to do and I flat out crumbled it up and threw it in the trash. I threw a party and had everyone come over. My friend Jake came over and brought all they fly looking girls and we all got hammered. Well this one girl seemed to fancy me a bit, and she was hot too. I'm talking smokin' yo! So we have a few drinks and after I got loaded, I just felt the need to rebel, so I took her up to my room and we had sex. It was my first time having some strange since I got married and it was awesome! I feel absolutely no guilt whatsoever. We woke up in the morning and my house was trashed with beer cans, pizza boxes, crap scattered all over the place. My wife would have freaked! Instead of cleaning it up, I just pounded this new girl a couple more times. I mean, I know it's wrong to cheat...but why don't I feel bad about it at all? I want to do it again except with some new poon? If I don't feel bad, then it wasn't 'wrong'...right?

Many of the sports best fighters are coming to the end of there careers,Manny Pacquiao,Floyd Mayweather,JMM,Mosley,RJJ,Hopkins and fighters like De la hoya,Calzaghe,Hatton,Morales and barrera are retired or just about to.Boxing needs to get rid of all the meaningless titles and just have 1 world title for each weight division so we can start to see the best fighters fight each other just like the UFC does.If you want to be a world champion you have to earn it and work your way up instead of picking the weakest title holder out there is then ducking the big fights.Does anyone agree?

I was at a friend's house yesterday, and her circuit breaker panel is located in a storage room in the basement. The room is completely cluttered with junk, and just to get to the breaker panel, one must climb all over the clutter (toys, boxes of knick-knacks, Christmas decorations, usual garage sale stuff). My friend's sister was drying her hair in the bathroom, and the breaker tripped. I resetted it, but it took me 3 minutes just to get over all the junk in the room to reach the breaker panel.

Is this an electrical code violation?

Would a Border Collie be ok left alone for 4-5 hours MAX a few days a week? crate trained?

we are planning on getting a border collie, but we would have to leave it in the house some days of the week, i would be home with it weekends, and my mum only works part time so she only works 3-4 days (monday to friday) and when it is alone it would only be alone 3-4 hours max 5, as soon as i get home from school (3:30) i will give it a long walk and a run, and when we are not walking it (i mean when we have already taken it for a walk, instead of not taken it for a walk) we have a rather large garden that we can play in and he can run around in, the dog will be left alone in his VERY retardedly soft bed we have gotten him, we are going to train him to use a large kind of litter box that my nan used with her dog, and he will have plenty of toys, and an endless supply of food & water. and when we are home we will treat him with the most care a dog could possibly be treated with.
we have a rather large house that he can run around in during the day, or would it be better to keep him in the place where his bed and toys+food is?
or, should we crate train him? if so, could the 'crate' be like a mesh pen that i could make with my brother, who is a builder?

my female is laying eggs she just laid her second but she is to scared to go in the nest box we bought for her so she keeps laying her eggs in the cage but at high places so they break. We don't want this to keep happening!
And also, we tried puting white marbles in the nest box, millet, and broccoli, but none of those seem to work
